In The Community

There’s more to FIELD than just work….

Supporting the local community is an important part of the culture at FIELD Engineering; every year we donate time and dollars to organisations and causes that promote healthy living or help people cope with tough times. We also think it’s good to have some interaction with workmates and their families outside of the normal work environment. Here are just some of the things that we get up to outside of business hours:

MAD Mountain Bike Club

FIELD have been the major sponsor of the Mackay and District Mountain Bike Club (MAD MTBC) since its formation 2009. We’re proud to see that it’s grown into a great family oriented club that is home to some champion riders. They have built 10km of challenging MTB trails at their base at Rowallan Park, and regularly host races throughout the year. They also co-host the popular 80km Mackay Mountain Marathon in the Eungella National Part which attracts professional riders from around Australia.

FIELD regularly donates to charities that are close to the hearts of our employees and clients. These include the CQ Rescue Helicopter, Breast Cancer charities, Ride to Conquer Cancer, Movember and numerous others.

We regularly sponsor sports including Rugby League, Junior Cricket, Boxing, Triathlon and Cycling. We also sponsor various science-in-schools initiative such as CO2 Powered Car Projects.

Social Scene

We typically have two set gatherings per year, the Christmas Party and the mid-year BBQ.

There are also numerous other guerrilla activities organised by the FIELD Engineers Rigorous Activities League (F.E.R.A.L). FERAL events include Poker Nights, Mountain Climbing expeditions, Mountain Bike treks, Trips to the Indy Cars, Cricket, Rugby and Triathlons.
