Field Engineers offers Lift Planning and Rigging Engineering services. Ranging from verification of lift plans prepared by others, to rigging studies, and project constructability studies, we can help your rigging operations happen safely and efficiently. Properly prepared and certified lift plans give peace of mind in the following was :

• Knowing that you are getting the best possible value from your cranage, rather than having to oversize your equipment to comply with arbitrary deration factors.
• Ensuring risks are assessed and managed prior to the start of the job.
• Reducing decision making "on the fly" which can lead to accidents or stopages.
• Confirming that dimensional clearances are correct and that everything will fit.

As Registered Professional Engineers, we are competent to certify lift plans that are outside the normal limits of the Australian Standards. Examples of such instances include :

• Multiple crane lifts where the normal load allowance factors need to be exceeded.
• Re-rating crane for specific job; this may involve exceeding the cranes standard chart capacity.
• Load testing after repairs to test structural strength or stability of the machine.
  

Responsible for the engineering of over 400 planned lifts to date, our engineers have undergone specific training in rigging engineering and lift planning.

We are members of the Standards Australia Committee ME-005 for Mobile Cranes, and are represented on the Queensland Crane Industry Council.
